Hollowpoint Apparel is honored to partner with 22 Kill and Pub 44 to host daily push-up challenges during Daytona Bike Week. We challenge everyone to participate in these events to help us bring awareness and raise funds to support their mission.
We learned of this organization while taking the redeye back from the Shot Show in Vegas. Our brand manager & I had been discussing ways Hollowpoint Apparel could give back and talked about various organizations to support.
On the flight, we sat next to a Vet and asked who he would recommend. He and his friend didn’t hesitate to tell us about 22 Kill and showed us videos of people doing 22 push-ups as part of their awareness campaign.
Since that time, we have partnered with Program Director, Jimmy Mac, and we will be hosting a variety of awareness / fundraising events with them throughout 2016.
ABOUT 22 KILL
22 Kill is a global movement created by Veterans to honor those who served and raise awareness about Veteran suicide, traumatic brain injuries, and mental health issues such as PTSD.
Sadly, an average of 22 Veterans are killed by suicide every day. This is a cause we are passionate about and we want to do all we can to help.
For this reason, we will be hosting daily 22 Push-Up challenges in front of the Hollowpoint Apparel booth from Friday, March 5-Sunday, March 13. We will also have a ‘giving’ kiosk provided by Give Back Nation which will allow us to accept credit card donations that will go directly to 22 Kill.
22 Kill has a goal of reaching 22 million push-ups. Daily challenges will be filmed and photographed & shared via social media outlets so we can record the number of push-ups and include them in the total.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
1. Plan to attend one or more pushup challenges by yourself or with a group of friends at Pub 44.
2. Organize a group and host 22 pushup challenges at your establishment. Let us know so we can spread the word about your event.
3. Share our event page and invite everyone you know to join in.
4. Volunteer to be a pushups leader. We are looking for personal coaches, athletic coaches, Crossfit competitors, military personnel, Veterans, and bikers to lead a group by doing 22 pushups and keeping participants motivated. If interested, please contact us here.
